Following a childhood birthday gift that left me disappointed with a point-and-shoot camera, I surreptitiously borrowed my father’s old Pentax manual film camera. This seemingly inconsequential act ignited a passion that ultimately steered me toward a career in the NYC film industry. Now the profession has become a hobby as I eventually transitioned into a career in Architectural Design. In the 3rd image, you can glimpse the beginnings of my passion for music. That specific guitar and the hat might no longer be in my possession, but they marked the start of something special. Since then, I’ve amassed an impressive collection of instruments, each one a testament to my continuing love for the world of sound. -Ed Mattson
